Designer offers new line of cards

Local graphic designer LeeAnn Brook has a new line of holiday cards and a limited number of 2008 calendars – her first calendar – that pay tribute to the Yuba River.

A percentage of the calendar’s proceeds go to the South Yuba River Citizens League.

Brook started the line of greeting cards featuring her photography four years ago. Her new cards depict fall and winter themes.

Cards and calendars can be purchased at J.J. Jackson’s, SPD Markets, Flour Garden Bakery, Yuba Blue, BriarPatch, Peaceful Valley Farm Supply, South Yuba River State Park office at Bridgeport and at Point, Click, Print in Lake of the Pines.

Brook will sign calendars and sell holiday cards from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Nov. 10, at SPD, 735 Zion St., Nevada City.
