Food drive for Food Bank

Aikido’Ka is holding a food drive to help restock the bare cupboards at the Food Bank of Nevada County this Saturday in Nevada City.

The event, dubbed “We Can Drive-Through,” is set for 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the corner of Broad and Coyote streets. The martial arts group will use several parking spaces there where people can drive up and drop off nonperishable food.

The Food Bank announced earlier this month they were in dire need of reinforcements.

The event will go on despite the weather conditions.

For more information, Aikido’Ka can be reached at 478-0170.
