Development with 17 homes pops up

Construction crews off Rattlesnake Road at Osborne Hill are building a 17-house development called Rattlesnake Ridge, developer Brian Bisnett said this week.

The lots – each approximately two acres – are clustered on the 83-acre property, leaving about 42 acres of open space, said Nevada County Senior Planner Tod Herman.

Herman said the current development was designed more sensitively than previous plans for the site, which had proposed about 27 houses spread out on the property.
