Cutler, county’s public health officer, to speak at First Tuesday

Nevada County’s Public Health Officer, Dr. Ken Cutler, will be the featured speaker at the First Tuesday Educational Forum, sponsored by the Nevada County Democratic Central Committee.

During the Forum, which was scheduled for Tuesday, April 7, Cutler will give a presentation as well as answer questions about a topic ripped from today’s headlines — childhood vaccinations.

A graduate of Yale University with a degree in biochemistry, Cutler attended UC San Francisco Medical School before earning a master’s degree in public health from Emory University. Cutler and his family are longtime residents of Nevada County. A board-certified pediatrician, the doctor was previously the public health officer for Sierra and Trinity counties and is currently on the executive board.

This free event takes place at the Banner Grange, 12629 McCourtney Rd., beginning at 5:30 p.m. Pizza and salad will be provided and beverages will be available for purchase.
