Curves plans food drive

Gold Country Fitness, Inc, operator of Curves franchises in Grass Valley, Nevada City and Colfax has announced plans for its 8th Annual Food Drive scheduled through the end of March.

According to Sherry Picciano, President of Gold Country Fitness, Inc., “We have raised over 40,000 pounds of food during the past five years and this year we have set a goal of raising 30,000 pounds between our three clubs. The local need has never been greater and this effort allows our members, friends and neighbors an opportunity to make a real difference in our local community.”

Curves will partner with Interfaith Food Ministry in Grass Valley/Nevada City and Sierra Ministries and Sierra Market in Colfax. To celebrate the generosity of the community, Curves is waiving its normal service fee for any new member who brings in a bag of non-perishable groceries and joins through March 11.

Food donations will be accepted through March 11. Drop off locations are: Grass Valley Curves: 992 Plaza Drive, (477-5027); Nevada City Curves: 737 Zion St. (470-8390); Colfax Curves: 555 S. Auburn St., (346-8520); Colfax Sierra Market across from Curves Colfax.
