Crash victims still in critical condition

Two men with head injuries from a Nov. 12 crash on Highway 20 east of Nevada City remained in critical condition Tuesday, a Sutter Roseville Medical Center spokeswoman said.

Samuel Miller, 23, of Nevada City has emerged from a coma, but he’s still “not responsive,” his mother, Cheryl Miller, said.

She said the other man, 20-year-old Sean Sanford of Grass Valley, suffered less severe damage but remains comatose.

Both men, along with 20-year-old Ed Wessinger of Grass Valley, were seriously hurt. Wessinger has since been released.

Twenty-year-old Brandin Klundt of Rough and Ready was killed in the accident.
