Auburn Symphony cellist Pete Hanson shows B.J. Prosser, a kindergartener at Scotten School, how a cello works during a visit Wednesday for the “Symphony Goes To School” program. The annual event, which is in its eighth year, brings the Auburn Symphony to 20 schools in Placer and Nevada counties, educating children about music, the symphony and its instruments.
