County Human Services director is leaving position

Jess Montoya, director of Nevada County’s Human Services Agency, is leaving his position.

Montoya’s position is listed in the county’s current job opening bulletin.

He served as the Human Services Agency director for 10 months. Before that, he led the county’s Community Development Agency. Montoya previously worked in Tulare and Kings counties.



Nevada County’s Human Services Agency contains four departments – Community Health, Adult and Family Services, Behavioral Health and Veterans Services.

Montoya could not be reached for comment Wednesday.
