A story on Page A2 of Tuesday’s The Union was unclear about the new administrative position being taken on by Holly Hermansen, currently the interim superintendent of Nevada City Elementary School District. On July 1, Hermansen will become an assistant superintendent for Nevada County.

Incorrect stats

A story about inmate treatment at Wayne Brown Correctional Facility on Page A1 of Tuesday’s The Union incorrectly described statistics on reports of physical force by jail officers.

In fiscal year 2002-03, 84 reports of physical force were filed by jail officers. The year before, there were 64 filings of force by officers.

The Union regrets the error.
