A story about the Original Sixteen to One Mine on Page A1 of Monday’s The Union misstated two facts about the mine.

Though the mine was threatened with a loss of utilities, it did not have its power shut off by Pacific Gas & Electric. A credit agreement was reached prior to the loss of utilities.

Also, it took miners four days recently to get about 30 feet through solid rock in search of gold.

The Union regrets these errors.
