Concert to benefit NID hopefuls

A benefit concert to support the election of Nancy Weber and Ron Mathis to the Nevada Irrigation District board of directors will be Oct. 12 at Center for the Arts, 314 W. Main St., Grass Valley.

Performers include singer-song writer Kimberly Bass, blues artist Rick Kirkpatrick, bluegrass band Past Due and Playable, and Nevada County’s “Peter, Paul and Mary”: Peter Van Zant, Paul Emery and Mary DeWitt.

A reception with no-host drinks, hors d’oeuvres and dessert bar begins at 6:30 p.m. The concert starts at 7:30.

Concert tickets are $10 at the door, with children under 12 admitted free. Reservations can be made by calling 265-9334.
