Commission to look at chicken proposition

Backyard chickens are on the plate of the Grass Valley Planning Commission next Tuesday.

The zoning application, generated by the city in August, would allow up to four chickens on the property of single-family residences and residential estates. If commissioners recommend the ordinance at their meeting, it’s final stop will be the City Council.

Commissioners also will consider a use permit for Ryan Condon to run a towing company on Railroad Avenue, while a development review for Berriman Ranch may be continued to a later date at the request of applicant.

The Planning Commission meeting starts at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21 at City Hall, 125 E. Main St. To see the full agenda, visit http://www.TheUnion.com and click on this story.
