Clubhouse Construction Update

Construction has begun, but we still have an opportunity to make our new clubhouse a more special place for Lake Wildwood residents and visitors. As long as we move quickly. Timeliness is important because we must fund these features before construction progresses so far they become either too complicated to install or prohibitively expensive.

Several months ago we identified several features that will not be covered by our already challenged budget. The features were important enough in our minds to justify our reaching out to the community for donations. The response has been positive with nearly $30,000 having been contributed/pledged to date. But more is needed and time is getting short if we are to include more of the deferred features.

There remain a few desired features that are not covered in the current clubhouse budget and require construction preparation to accommodate their inclusion:

Three gas fire pits (outside terrace) (Estimated cost $2,800 each)

A Two-sided (grill and outdoor terrace) fireplace (Estimated cost $15,000)

A Water Feature (outside terrace) (Estimated cost $8,000)

Donations to help fund these features must be received before November 15, in order to be accommodated during the construction phase. These high priority items can be found on the Restricted Donation Form which is available on the LWA website or in the Administration Office. Checks for donations should be made out to Lake Wildwood Administration-Clubhouse Donation. You may also make your donation by credit card at the Administration Office.

For those of you who have already made special donations to the clubhouse, we are grateful for your early contributions. For those of you who still wish to do so, please obtain a Restricted Donation Form on the website or pick up a copy at the Administration Office. By showing your personal interest and commitment, you can help take our new clubhouse from “GOOD to GREAT”.
