Nevada County Beekeepers Association

The Nevada County Beekeepers Association will meet Monday at 7 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Building in Grass Valley.

The regular question-and-answer session starts at 7 p.m., followed by a brief meeting, refreshments and program. This month’s speaker is commercial beekeeper John Miller, fresh from his trip overseas.

Sons of Norway




The Sons of Norway will hold its monthly meeting Jan. 14 at the Senior Center at the Nevada County Fairgrounds.

Dinner will be served at 6 p.m., followed by installation of officers.

Sierra Astronomy and Science Explorers

Sierra Astronomy and Science Explorers will meet Thursday from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the conference room of the Imaginarium Science Museum, Ridge Road and Nevada City Highway.

A talk will be given by Professor Charles Dailey of Sierra College-Rocklin, titled “The Weird Frogs of Nevada County.” Contact Wayne Watson at Grass Valley Aglow International.

Grass Valley Aglow International will meet Thursday from 9:45 a.m. to noon at Crown Point Hall, 336 Crown Point Circle off Brunswick Road, Grass Valley. Enjoy a free continental breakfast. There will be praise and worship music and a program. For information, call 432-9258.
