An article about elder financial abuse on Page A1 of Tuesday’s The Union was unclear about the exact prison sentence received by a broker convicted of credit card fraud against Cedar Ridge resident Clifford Smith. The broker, who was not identified by name in the story, received a suspended two-year sentence, with three years’ probation and 180 days in jail, according to court documents.
