Citizen’s Academy graduates learn about county

The first ever class of the Nevada County Citizen’s Academy had its final session March 16. The purpose of the academy is to acquaint members of the community with the various functions of county government; the participants had the opportunity to learn about the wide array of county services, meet county managers and elected officials and tour county Facilities. The first class consisted of 15 participants who participated in eight sessions covering services from Information Technology to public safety.
