Church slates Super Bowl chili cook-off

The Rev. Ron Thompson will speak Sunday at Twin Cities Church about “Connecting with the People of God.”

The annual Super Bowl Chili Cook-off will also be Sunday, and the community is invited to enter the chili cook-off and watch Super Bowl XXXVI on two large projection screens. This event begins at 3 p.m. at the Grass Valley Veterans Hall and will end when the game is over.

The senior high Student Ministry will take a group of students to Camp Alta this weekend for its annual winter retreat. There will fun, food, fellowship, skiing and snowboarding. Any student in senior high school is invited to attend.

Twin Cities meets every Sunday at the Veterans Hall, 255 S. Auburn St., Grass Valley. Services are offered at 9 and 11 a.m., with classes for children and junior high students at both services. High school students meet at 11 a.m.
