Choir to attend historical society dinner

The Nevada County Historical Society will celebrate its 50th annual dinner in style at Miners Foundry Cultural Center Sunday.

After returning from a trip to Cornwall, England, on Tuesday, members of the 40-voice Grass Valley Male Voice Choir will talk briefly about their experiences overseas and perform.

A silent auction and no-host bar starts at 3 p.m., followed by the Citizen of the Year awards at 4 p.m. Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. and the male voice choir performs at 6:30 p.m.

Admission is $25 and includes steak, chicken or vegetarian entree, salad, rolls, beverage and dessert.
