Car fire in Grass Valley draws quick response

Mike Meals sent in these photos of a vehicle that caught on fire in the Safeway parking lot on Neal Street in Grass Valley at about 10:19 a.m. Sunday.

According to Meals, the driver was uninjured and the cause was uncertain. It appeared as if he was making a left turn out of the lot when the car unexpectedly caught fire, Meals said.

Grass Valley firefighters responded and quickly extinguished the flaming vehicle.
