Cancer center slates kids’ cancer classes

The Sierra Nevada Cancer Center will sponsor a fall series of classes for children who are affected by cancer. “Kidscope” begins Sept. 12 and runs every Thursday from 3:30 to 5 p.m. until Oct. 24.

“Kidscope” is a new creative series that aims to help children between the ages of 6 and 18 who either have cancer or who cope with a loved one with the disease. The sessions focus on creative expression through art, clay and play.

There is no fee for the series. For more information, or to register, call Debby Kirk at 274-6872.
