Cabriolet wins classic car show

It was a four-wheeled menagerie during a recent show at Pioneer Park.

More than 116 classic and custom cars arrived for the Pioneer Classic Car Show, sponsored by Nevada City Lions and Nevada County Mustangers.

Local car buffs Larry and Kelley Walling drove away with awards for best in class, best paint, best of show and people’s choice for their 1936 Ford Cabriolet.

Proceeds from this year’s show, held last weekend, go to Pioneer Park for improvements and to the Mustangers’ Christmas for Kids program.
