Cabin destroyed in morning blaze

A cabin at the Canyon Creek campground on Maybert Road near the town of Washington was destroyed by fire early Sunday morning, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection reported.

CDF said the fire, which was reported at 4:56 a.m., caused about $50,000 worth of damage. A resident suffered minor burns on an arm. No other details were released.
