Budget issues on tap for fire districts

Financial issues are on the agenda for several fire districts this week.

The board of directors for the Penn Valley Fire Protection District will review and adopt its 10-year capital outlay plan at its regularly scheduled meeting Tuesday. Other items on the agenda include reviewing and adopting the final budgets for the general fund, the building and equipment fund and the impact fund. The board also will discuss a proposal that would transfer a surplus fire engine to the Smartsville Fire District.

The board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Station No. 43, 10513 Spenceville Road, Penn Valley. For information, call 432-2630.

The finance committee for the Nevada County Consolidated Fire District will discuss the district’s draft 2010-11 final budget at 1 p.m. Tuesday. The committee will meet at Station 84, 10135 Coyote St., Nevada City. For information, call 273-3158.
