Film’s director

to field questions

Susan Traylor, the writer and director of the new film “Welcome to California,” will answer questions after each screening of her work at Nevada City’s Magic Theatre this weekend, beginning today.

The movie, described by critics as a “bold examination of the loneliness inside of relationships,” is actress Traylor’s feature-length debut.

“Welcome to California” starts at 7:35 p.m. today through Sunday, with an additional 4 p.m. screening Sunday.

Traylor acted in film and television for more than a decade, learning her craft from her actor parents. Traylor had roles in “A River Runs Through It,” “To Die For,” “Heat,” “Bastard out of Carolina” and “She’s so Lovely.”

For more information on the screenings, contact the 107 Argall Way theater at 265-8262.
