Lecture offered

on managing chronic pain

Dr. Gary Glaze, a specialist in anesthesia and pain management, will give a general lecture on pain management for chronic disorders of the spine.



Chronic pain lasts longer than three months and is not completely relieved by medication or medical treatment.

The presentation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., July 10, at the Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Outpatient Center, Room 120-130. To reserve a spot, call Jeanne Spring, 432-0247, by Friday.




Writing workshop promotes healing

Molly Fisk’s Writing to Heal will teach anyone affected by cancer a writing techniques that promote emotional healing.

Fisk offers a safe, professional and sometimes hilarious class atmosphere with in-class exercises and participants will share their work.

Writing to Heal is sponsored by the Sierra Nevada Cancer Center from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursdays, July 12 through August 23, at Nevada City Cohousing.
