A Grass Valley man is recovering from broken bones after his tractor flipped and pinned him.

Robert Patton, 48, was driving his tractor up a steep incline off of Otter Road at about 9 p.m. Monday when the tractor rolled off the hillside, California Highway Patrol Officer Dina Hernandez said.

Patton flew off, and the tractor rolled over him, breaking his right forearm and some ribs.

Patton was transported to Auburn Faith Hospital for treatment, Hernandez said, and he is expected to recover from his injuries.
