Miners Clinic changes location

The Miners Community Clinic will close today, and will reopen at a new location in Grass Valley on Monday.

The move began Thursday. Beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, patients can visit the clinic at 1345 Whispering Pines Lane in Grass Valley. The clinic’s new phone number is 273-4984.

For information about new phone numbers for clinic doctors, call 265-7890.

‘SiCKO’ benefit raises $4,000

People attending a benefit screening of “SiCKO,” the new Michael Moore movie,

raised $4,000 for Hospitality House.

Mike Getz, owner of downtown Grass Valley’s Del Oro Theatre where the benefit was held Wednesday night, said the money will go to the area’s homeless shelter.

The movie presents Moore’s investigation of America’s health care industry.
