The Nevada County Animal Shelter is full of cats, according to Volunteer Coordinator Cheryl Wicks.

“Every cat kennel is full. We are desperate,” Wicks said.

The shelter is having a “2-fur-1” special until Oct. 21. Adopt one cat for $50 or two for $60. This is a bargain when you consider that the cat you adopt has already been spayed or neutered.

Shelter hours are 1 to 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday. The shelter is located at 14647 Mc Courtney Road, Grass Valley. For more information, call 273-2179.
