Residents and business owners who have registered with the Federal Emergency Management Agency for disaster assistance and have follow- up questions can call the FEMA help line to learn about their applications and available disaster programs at 800-621-FEMA (3362) and select the help line option. Those with speech or hearing impairment call (TTY) 800-462-7585. The lines are open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Residents and business owners who had damage in the December-January flooding can register for state and federal assistance. Registration deadline is April 4.

Gather the Women meet for an Evening of Opportunity at 6:45 p.m. April 11 at the Nevada City Methodist Church, 433 Broad St. Circles of interest such as books, teen talking circles, community projects, women’s support circles, learning to speak your vision, etc., will be created.
