BREAKING NEWS: Two airlifted from early-morning crash

Two people were airlifted after an early-morning crash near Highway 49 and Alta Sierra Drive that tied up traffic during the early-morning commute, the California Highway Patrol reported.

One of the patients was listed in serious condition Wednesday afternoon, and a condition for the second was unavailable.

The accident was reported at 6:55 a.m.
