Birds of Prey fundraiser this Father’s Day Gold Rush Burgers Grass Valley

Enjoy Father’s Day and contribute to a great Fundraiser. Falcon’s Court is a nonprofit group that will present an amazing exhibition of “Birds of Prey” this Sunday at Gold Rush Burgers & BBQ.

Falcons, hawks and owls will soar above the patio at Gold Rush Burgers & BBQ on Father’s Day. There will be two separate servings for lunch and two presentations — at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Each presentation will be followed by a 45-minute photo opportunity and your chance to meet the birds.

Tallon Knight, a well-known master falconer, will present a number of hawks, falcons and owl. Knight will tell great stories and the history of falconry and birds of prey. He will demonstrate the art of hunting with birds, which goes back to China more than 4,000 years ago. Prepaid reservations are $10, (donations) are required and must be received before Saturday. Kids are free accompanied with parents.

There will be half-price draft beers; Gold Rush has 16 beers on tap, including locals Old Republic and Auburn Ale House. Dads can enjoy a Gold Rush Rib Special that includes St. Louis-style ribs, fries, smoked corn on the cob, Texas toast and watermelon for $14.99, and kids eat for $5. All pre-paid reservations must be received by Saturday at 10 a.m.
