Best-selling author to speak in Nevada City

Jonathan Robinson, a renowned psychotherapist, author and personal productivity expert will speak about finding happiness and peace despite our busy and modern times in Nevada City Aug. 21, courtesy of the Gold Country Welcome Club.

In the last 20 years, people in the field of positive psychology have researched what leads to people being happier.

They’ve found that extremely happy folks inevitably practice certain key behaviors that lead to their feeling so good.

In this lecture, you’ll learn about and actually practice some of these key skills. Welcome Club events are usually restricted to members only, but being such a timely and important topic, the club is opening the event to the public.

Robinson, a Nevada County resident, has interviewed such spiritual giants as Mother Teresa and the Dalai Lama, reaching 250 million people with his practical methods. In addition, he has made numerous appearances on the Oprah show and CNN, as well as other national TV talk shows.

He has spent more than 35 years studying the most practical and powerful methods for personal and professional development and achieving internal joy and peace.

Robinson will speak at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 21, and registration is due Aug. 14.

The cost is $12 per person, which includes the talk and a boxed sandwich lunch. Send checks payable to Welcome Club, and note your sandwich choice to Barbara Campbell, 17506 Long Branch Court, Penn Valley, CA 95946.
