Beekeepers respond to honeybee swarms

The Nevada County Beekeepers Association will operate a “Honeybee Hotline” this spring so the public can report incidents of honeybee swarms.

People sighting a swarm can call the hot line at 273-1382 for a qualified beekeeper to retrieve and remove the swarm.

The hot line will also respond to questions or problems involving honeybees, but should not be called to exterminate wasps or hornets.
