Bear River Spring Dance performance this weekend and next

Bear River Dance Department invites the community to explore the art of movement and join them for the annual Spring Dance Performance beginning this weekend.

Dancers, from beginning to advanced, will share an eclectic range of pieces choreographed by Joyce Gouveia, Sonya Scott, Gaia Weiss, Julia Kent, Holly McGovern and student choreographed works.

The dancers would love to share with you a piece of themselves as they dance their hearts out to a variety of genres including Modern, Ballet, Musical Theater, and World Dance.

Dancers have been working throughout the year in their journey of expression, and hope to pass on the gift of dance.

The performance takes place at the Bruin Community Performing Arts Theatre at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and again at 7 p.m. May 3 and 4.

There will also be a 2 p.m. matinee Saturday.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 students, they will be available at the student store the week of the show and at the door.
