Bay Area author Elizabeth Rosner will discuss her writing and read from her debut novel, “The Speed of Light,” at the Book Seller at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

“The Speed of Light” is set in Berkeley and tells the story of an adult brother and sister who are the children of a Holocaust survivor. Into their lives comes Sola, a refugee of a different sort who, with compassion and warmth, sets the healing in motion.

“This very compelling novel is my favorite read of the year,” said Book Seller manager Alison Jones-Pomatto. “Elizabeth Rosner is a poet, and this lyrical novel told in three voices just shines.”

The Book Seller is at 107 Mill St., Grass Valley. Call 272-2131 for more information.
