Awake to a new birth

“Our Crisis Is a Birth” is the Rev. Terry Shea’s topic Sunday at Sierra Center for Positive Living, a Religious Science church. It is the sixth talk in the eight-week series “Awakening World: The Renaissance of the Soul.”

Local composer and vocalist Jim Townsend leads the music.

Junior church is available for youths aged 5 to 13.

This is Potluck Sunday, and guests are invited to stay for food and fellowship.

The metaphysical book store is open before and after the service.

Meditation services are conducted at the church office at 7 p.m. Wednesdays, preceded by a silent meditation beginning at 6:40 p.m.

The church office is in the Yuba River Professional Building, 12059 Nevada City Highway, No. 210, Grass Valley, next to Lyons.

Sierra Center for Positive Living meets at 10:30 a.m. Sundays at Banner Grange, 12629 McCourtney Road, 1.4 miles from the fairgrounds’ main gate. Call the office at 274-1018 for more information or directions.
