APPLE Center turns one, throws party

Apple pie and birthday cake will be on hand as downtown Nevada City’s APPLE Center for Sustainable Living turns one year old.

An anniversary party runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, at the center on 412 Commercial St.

Festivities include inspirational speakers, a soup lunch, raffle prizes, entertainment and new member specials.



This event is free to attend, and entry to the Awesome Apple Pie Contest is also free – see http://www.applecenter.org for contest entry guidelines.

Lunch is available from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. for a $7 donation to Living Lands Agrarian Network.
