AnimalSave run is Saturday

AnimalSave’s second “Run for the Animals,” a 5K and 10K run/walk presented by the Penn Valley Veterinary Center/Mimi Vishoot, DVM, will take place May 20.

The run is a Gold Country Grand Prix event and will start at the top of Broad Street in Nevada City (Realty Executives office) at 9 a.m. and proceed on the Old Downieville Highway route.

The $20 advance entry fee ($25 on race day) entitles participants to a pawsitively super T-shirt and a chance for great prizes. Dogs, of course, are welcome and can qualify for special prizes too (must have guardian on leash!).

Participants may pick up an entry form at AnimalSave Thrift and Treasures or download one at http://www.animalsave.org. Registration on race day begins at 8 a.m.

AnimalSave is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to the welfare of our community’s animals. Proceeds from the “Run for the Animals” event will benefit AnimalSave’s comprehensive programs.
