AnimalSave offers up rare, vintage books

AnimalSave’s Book Nook recently received a wonderful gift of 50 boxes of rare and vintage books from a book store in the Bay area. Under the direction of Phil and Bev Dittberner, avid book collectors and experts on rare and vintage books, we have sorted, catalogued, researched and priced hundreds of books. The majority of these collectible books are priced to sell from $1 to $15. A number of very rare books are priced well below current market values — including several true first editions of popular books.

We are now making these gems available to the public for a limited time from now through Saturday. Stop by the Book Nook at the AnimalSave Center; proceeds will help AnimalSave continue rescuing and finding forever homes for dogs and cats in our community and providing low-cost spay and neuter services.

The sale is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in the Book Nook at the AnimalSave Center, 520 East Main St., Suite G, Grass Valley.
