A soldier’s story

Sean Metroka of Nevada City, a Marine Reserves colonel who served eight months during the Iraq war, describes a slide from his presentation, “Iraq: Through a Soldier’s Eyes,” sponsored by The Union Wednesday night. A crowd of more than 400 filled the auditorium at the Grass Valley Elks Club an hour before showtime, so a second presentation is planned. Watch The Union for details.

Metroka shares bread with Iraqis.
