8-week series begins on soul renaissance

The Rev. Terry Shea, pastor of Sierra Center for Positive Living, a Religious Science church, begins a new eight-week series Sunday titled “Awakening World: The Renaissance of the Soul.”

Music director Ralph Williams will be joined by vocalist Sharon-Joy Jahoda.

The service begins at 10:30 a.m. at Banner Grange. The metaphysical bookstore is open before and after the service. Everyone is invited for coffee and conversation afterwards.

Junior church is available the first and third Sundays during the service.

Licensed practitioners are available following the service for spiritual prayer treatment.

Meditation services led by the Rev. Laurie Costenborder-Jordan will be at the church office each Wednesday, preceded by a silent meditation beginning at 6:40 p.m. The office is at 12059 Nevada City Highway, No. 210, Grass Valley.

Sierra Center for Positive Living, a Religious Science church, meets at 10:30 a.m. Sundays at the Banner Grange, 12629 McCourtney Road, 1.4 miles from the fairgrounds’ main gate. Please call the office at 274-1018 for more information.
