$57,000 for Foothill So far

Last Thursday the Foothill Theatre Company held a fundraiser that netted us $4,600. This would not have been possible without the help of our incredible community.

When news of our situation first broke, Star Waschevski of Starpeople (formerly Eddie D. and the Cruisers) contacted us and offered to have his band and his son’s band, Seam Split, play free of charge. He then contacted Dominique Del Chiaro, who heads up the dance group Razzmatazz, and she also offered for her group to appear for free.

Because of the Miners Foundry’s support in accommodating us with literally no notice, we were able to put together a fundraiser in under one week. Nevada County Laundry and Linen supplied the tablecloths and David Kenitzer of Citizen’s Bank donated his projector for our special slide show.

We want to thank the following businesses for their generous raffle prizes: Flour Garden, Tess’s Kitchen Store, Back Porch Market, Diego’s, Sierra Starr Winery, Lucchesi Winery, Nevada City Winery, Cirino’s at Main Street, Tofanelli’s, The Book Seller, Mary-Mary, Magic Carpet, Wooden Spoon, Bob Crabb, Jodi Gaia Hypnotherapy, Bon Bon Salon, Harmony Books, Las Katarinas, SPD, Rhea Glass, Fur Traders, Tanglewood Forest, SandBags.

The Wooden Spoon fundraiser on Saturday and Sunday netted us $500. Owner Linda Cary offered the fundraiser and donated 10 percent of her total sales to FTC. Thank you, Linda!

As of Tuesday, Foothill Theatre is now at $57,000. Thank you all so much.
