Local Marc Snegg brings Moore Brothers to town

Marc Snegg, a Nevada County native now living in Berkeley, was so impressed with the Bay Area-based Moore Brothers he decided to bring the duo here so his hometown friends could also enjoy them.

As a result, the Moore Brothers will play Saturday at the Magic Theatre.

“Greg and Thom Moore are inspired artists, songwriters, performers and singers. Their harmonies are reminiscent of Crosby and Nash, Simon and Garfunkel or the Everly Brothers,” Snegg said. ” With Chicken on a Raft, Tom Carns and Thom Moore dig up strange old American folk tunes. Their harmonies and arrangements really make the old tunes come alive for me.”

Chicken on a Raft will open the show.

“And the girls from Madame Moustache round out the bill with their eery and mesmerizing acoustic tunes. So, I’m excited for the show,” added Snegg, who coincidentally appeared last month on a local stage when he was in Adam Kline’s Golden Shoulders CD release concert.

Music begins at 9:30 p.m.

The Magic Theater is at 107 Argall Way in Nevada City.

Admission is $5 at the door.
