Local businesses

Ever get frustrated with press 1, press 5, press 2; wait time is 16 minutes; let me transfer you?

My faith in this current state of affairs was restored here locally by Blaine, the owner of Fischer’s Firestone on Sutton Way, and Bobbe at the Bank of America in downtown Grass Valley.

Blaine’s crew fixed my Subaru’s broken axle. I was home from Tahoe for only one day and on my way to Portland the next. They did this repair in one hour, at short notice.

Bobbe invited me to sit at her desk at the carpeted area and solved at least three important banking issues. She clicked away at her computer and handed me signature cards, all while we discussed local news and family issues.

Professional, friendly, competent. My deepest thanks to these two local business people.
