Local authors discuss new book

Local historical authors Joanne Chartier and Chris Enss will talk about their latest frontier series’ book, “She Wore a Yellow Ribbon: Women Soldiers and Patriots of the Western Frontier,” Friday at The Book Seller.

Their new book is about 12 women – wives, mothers, laundresses, interpreters and shamans – who faced danger, ignorance, prejudice and physical deprivation in this state’s beginning years.

Other books in the series are “With Great Hope” and “Love Untamed: Romances of the Old West.”

Friday’s free discussion is from 6 to 8 p.m. at 107 Mill St. in Grass Valley.

Call The Book Seller at 272-2131 for more information.
