Lives Lived: Sammy Fidler Jr.

Sammy Joe Fidler Jr., a Grass Valley resident for more than 20 years, passed away Feb. 23 in Grass Valley.

Per his request, no services will be held. Private interment will take place at Greenwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Grass Valley.

Mr. Fidler Jr. was born on June 15, 1953, in Richmond to Sammy Joe Fidler Sr. and Janet Fidler. He graduated from Pinole Valley High School in 1971. He worked as a meat cutter in the Bay Area for over 25 years. One of his greatest hobbies was fishing.



He is survived by his mother, Janet Fidler of Grass Valley; his aunts Linda Choate and Juanetta Alvardo of San Pablo, and numerous cousins and other distant relatives.

He was predeceased by his father in 1984.




Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in his memory.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper & Weaver Mortuary.
