Lives Lived: Lori Roberts

Lori Roberts, of Doran, Minn., died Oct. 2 at home.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9 at the United Methodist Church in Breckenridge, Minn., with the Rev. Terry Tilton officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interment will be at the Riverside Cemetery.

She was born May 18, 1960 in Grass Valley to Larry and Beverly (Sargent) Bartsch.

She attended Union Hill Elementary School and Nevada Joint Union High School and furthered her education at Jon et Dees Beauty College in Lodi.

The family moved to Doran, Minn., in 2000 and she began her employment at Primewood in Wahpeton, N.D. at that time. She was a senior machine operator there until her death.

She enjoyed the outdoors and keeping up her yard and garden. She loved motorcycle riding, gold panning, vacationing, Betty Boop comics, Johnny Cash music, and especially enjoyed her daughters and grandchildren.

The holidays were special and she hosted parties for family, friends and co-workers. She always welcomed anyone who was spending the holidays alone to join in her holiday celebrations.

She is survived by her daughters, Misty Roberts of Doran, Minn., Angela Roberts of Breckenridge, Minn. and Stephanie (Mathew) Odgers Holding Eagle III of Wahpeton, N.D., grandchildren Darian Clark and Kaiden Roberts, Mathew Holding Eagle IV, Miranda Odgers, Savannah Holding Eagle and Sebastian Holding Eagle; mother, Beverly Bartsch of Cedar Ridge; sisters Linda (John) Warshaw of Grass Valley, Patty Bartsch of Grass Valley, Pam Bartsch of Fairmount, N.D., Danell Martin of Auburn; brothers: Larry (Tiffany) Bartsch and Terry Joe (Frankie) Slack, both of Grass Valley.

She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Bartsch and grandparents Hazel Morrison, Ruth Bartsch, Tommy Bartsch, and Zada Mae Hedger.
