Lives Lived: Edwin Starry

Edwin Starry died March 28 in Nevada City.

According to his wishes, no service will be held.

He was born Nov. 5, 1937, in Nevada City to Floyd and Martha (Lawrence) Starry.



After graduating from high school, Mr. Starry served in the U. S. Air Force. He had a 30-year career with the state of California.

His hobbies included fishing, CB radios and computers.




Mr. Starry is survived by his wife of more than 48 years, Linda Starry of Nevada City; his daughters, Viola Wright of Truckee, Calif., and Edith Woodruff of Sacramento, Calif.; his step-daughter, Karen Trewyn of Mauston, Wisc., and their spouses; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and his in-laws, Mildred and Harold Darewit.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and one great-grandson.

Arrangements are by Hooper and Weaver Mortuary, Nevada City.
