Lives Lived: Dorothy Selleck

Dorothy Selleck passed away Oct. 2 in Colfax. She was 83.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sat., Oct. 10 at the Kingdom Hall in Grass Valley. A graveside service for Dorothy and her son, Owen Wade Selleck, who died August 20, will be at 1 p.m. Sat., Oct. 17 at Greenwood Memorial Gardens in Grass Valley.

Dorothy was born Sept. 17, 1926 in California, to Arthur and Aida Skinner.

She was a homemaker her entire life and enjoyed horseback riding.

She is survived by daughters; Cindy Gray of Grass Valley, Carol Selleck, of Mo.; son, Arthur Selleck of Missouri; son-in-law, Bob Butler of Grass Valley; granddaughters Gina Matthews of Riverside and Shauna King of Auburn; brother, Clarence Skinner of Chico, and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Bill Selleck; son, Owen Wade Selleck and parents, Aida and Arthur Skinner.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper & Weaver Mortuary in Nevada City.
