Lives Lived: David Sevits

David B. Sevits’ life was cut tragically short by a driver under the influence on Nov. 25, 2009.

In accordance with the family’s wishes, no service will be held.

Mr. Sevits was born on Oct. 26, 1945, in Albany, N.Y. He proudly served his country and enlisted in the U.S. Navy on April 16, 1969, serving three tours of duty in the Vietnam War.



After the Navy, he met the love of his life and married Judy Aldrich on July 7, 1975. They never left each other’s side for almost 34 years.

Mr. Sevits had a passion for life and loved his family deeply. His passing is a great loss to many. He will be sorely missed.




He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and a friend to so many. He was a special man with the gift to befriend anyone and make everyone laugh. He will forever be in the hearts of those who knew him.

Mr. Sevits leaves behind his wife of almost 35 years, Judy; son, Jayson Perry; grandchildren, Caylin, Ava and Lilly Perry; son, David

Sevits and daughter-in-law, Jenny Sevits; grandchildren, Samantha and Alec Sevits; son, Jeffrey Sevits; grandchild, Teonna Sevits; brother, Jeffrey Sevits of New York; and many beloved friends.
